Interactive Media: Alien.gif

Interactive: Alien Animation

Throughout this project I have learnt the basics on how to make a simple animation, and how to do it effectively.

Below I will explain how to create a simple animation from what I've learnt:

So, how do you create a simple animation?

To start off with, you have to take pictures of yourself doing something that would trigger something else. For example: For mine I moved my hand over to my face and moved it down over my face. This means that I'd then be able to add something in afterwards. It would be advisable to stay still to create the best possible effect.

After this I added in the appropriate pictures into Photoshop (what I mean by this, is the images that are actually going to trigger the animation, the hand moving up to the face will not count because it doesn't trigger anything).

Once this is sorted and have been added as separate files into Photoshop you then need to start creating your transformation, to do this you need to create whatever you want your face to turn into (in my example it is an alien). As long as everything before the hand/ over my face has been edited, then your final product will look good. I should also mention that you need your hand to have a perfect clean edge and no overspill, because this will damage the effect and overall product in terms of looks if not.
